Our newly digitised archive content was used to full effect during 2019, the anniversary of The Troubles. In future, through the BBC Rewind team and BBC Centenary productions, it is hoped that the general public will be able to search a complete cultural history of Northern Ireland from the 1950's onwards.METADATA: Working closely with our colleagues in BBC NI Technology, we found a method to match pre-existing archive metadata to newly digitised assets, creating an efficient and effective workflow. QUALITY CONTROL AND DISPOSAL: We needed to digitise content to the most suitable codecs, considering quality and budget constraints.
